ICFJ seeks journalist security consultant and trainer [Southeast Asia]

Individuals with at least seven years of experience conducting journalism security training programs can apply for a contract-based position.  

The International Center for Journalists (ICFJ) is seeking a journalist security consultant and trainer for its “Asia Investigative Reporting Network” (AIR Network) program for investigative journalists in Southeast Asia. 

The journalist security specialist will engage with ICFJ's resident investigative editor in Southeast Asia and its project partners to develop a journalist security training program, consult local journalists and security specialists, conduct a training-of-trainers for local specialists, and develop a protocol for journalists to access emergency security support services.

Applicants must be fluent in English and be familiar with the Southeast Asian media landscape.

The consultancy begins in March.
