Journalists, freelancers and member of civil society in Panama are eligible for reporting grants.
The International Center for Journalists (ICFJ), in partnership with the Centro Latinoamericano de Periodismo (CELAP), is offering reporting grants. The grants are part of a broader program that ICFJ and CELAP are implementing in Panama.
The grants are designed to support in-depth investigative reporting and, ideally, cover topics pertaining to governance, anti-corruption, accountability, transparency, and rule of law.
Four grantees will receive US$3,200. They will also receive coaching and mentoring.
Interested applicants must submit a proposal and indicate where they plan to publish.
Independent news organizations are also eligible to apply.
The deadline is Aug. 7.
