Journalists reporting on road safety who published works in media outlets in Brazil, Botswana, India, Mexico, Nepal or Nigeria can enter a competition.
The International Center for Journalists (ICFJ), with support from the FIA Foundation Richard Stanley Memorial Grant and the WHO through funding from Bloomberg Philanthropies, launches the 2024 Road Safety Reporting Competition and Awards.
This competition aims to help journalists shine a light on road crash deaths and injuries in some of the hardest-hit countries.
Applicants must have at least one published story related to road safety. Only stories published between Jan. 1, 2024 and Oct. 29, 2024 are eligible for submission.
Prizes will be tools to support further journalism work.
The deadline is Oct. 29.
