Journalists from the Americas, including the Caribbean, and from Spain can submit entries.
The Inter American Press Association (IAPA) is accepting submissions for its 2025 Excellence in Journalism Awards.
Stories in English, Spanish and Portuguese can be entered across 14 categories: migration journalism, cartoon, news coverage, interview, chronicle, photography, video, opinion, data journalism, in-depth journalism, environment journalism, college journalism, sustainability and digital transformation.
Eligible works must have been published between Jun. 1, 2024 and May 31, 2025 in newspapers, weeklies, magazines, digital native outlets, as well as online publications of radio and TV stations. The winner in most categories will receive a US$2,000 prize.
The winners will be honored during the 81st IAPA General Assembly, in October at Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
The application deadline is May 31.
