Journalists worldwide who have reported on the human rights and religious freedom issues in India can compete for an award.
Entries are being accepted for the Human Rights & Religious Freedom Journalism Awards, sponsored by the Indian American Muslim Council (IAMC). The awards recognize courageous, groundbreaking, and in-depth reporting on pressing issues concerning Indian minorities and marginalized communities
Journalists can submit entries in the following categories: Best Text Reporting on Human Rights and Religious Freedom (English, Hindi or Urdu); Best Story on Human Solidarity; Best Video Story on Human Rights and Religious Freedom; and the HRRF Young Journalist of the Year Award 2025.
Winners in each category will receive INR50,000 (US$583) and a plaque.
Reports published between June 30, 2024 and June 30, 2025 are eligible for submission.
This year's winners will be honored at a ceremony in Chicago, Illinois, in August.
The deadline is July 25.
