Freelance and local journalists based in Kenya can apply for a three-day training course.
ACOS Alliance, in partnership with Africa Uncensored, is offering the Hostile Environment and First Aid Training (HEFAT) course. The course is designed to help journalists who face risks and security challenges in their work to be better prepared.
It will be tailored to fit the safety needs and contexts of those living and working in Kenya.
Eighteen spots are available for this free course that takes place in Nairobi June 3 to 5.
The organizers will cover the course fee and meals. A limited number of travel grants may be available for participants outside of Nairobi.
The deadline is May 11.
