Journalists from Nepal, India and Bangladesh with experience in climate science reporting can apply for a journalism boot camp.
The Nepal Forum of Science Journalists, in partnership with the Spark Grant Initiative and the World Federation of Science Journalists, is hosting the Himalayan Climate Boot Camp 2022. The three-day climate journalism boot camp will be held in the Everest region, April 22 to 24.
The workshop aims to impart nuanced science reporting skills for evidence-backed coverage of climate stories to eight selected journalists.
Travel and accommodation of the selected applicants will be covered through the Spark Grant Initiative funding. After the boot camp, participants will work remotely with assigned mentors and participate in follow-up virtual workshops.
The deadline is Feb. 28.
