Journalists with an excellent understanding of South America can apply for this position.
The Guardian is seeking a South America correspondent to report on the region for all Guardian and Observer platforms. The correspondent will work closely with U.K. and U.S. editors, producing news articles, features, analysis and interviews, with a special focus on issues affecting African-descendant populations.
Applicants should have an excellent knowledge and understanding of South America and African-descendant populations living in the region, have a strong track record of reporting, be fluent in Portuguese and/or Spanish, among other qualifications.
The Guardian expects the successful candidate to be based in Brazil.
