Regional media organizations and nationwide digital multimedia outlets registered in Georgia can apply.

The Public Diplomacy Section (PDS) of the U.S. Embassy in Tbilisi offers grants for investigative journalism projects through its Georgian Regional and Online Media Support Program.

The grants will support the production of stories serving the high public interest. Media collaboration between national online and regional outlets is encouraged and will be given priority.

The topics of stories may include disinformation/fake news jeopardizing democracy and human rights, flaws in government-to-media relations, corruption and financial crime, and more.

The maximum amount of a grant awarded for one project is US$50,000. In the case of media collaborations, the amount will be increased up to US$70,000.

The deadline is Aug. 18.
