Immigrant, Black, Indigenous and people of color-serving newsrooms and media collectives in the United States and Canada can apply for a grant.
Internews’ Earth Journalism Network (EJN) is offering grants to support innovative, investigative and/or enterprise reporting projects on environmental or climate change issues that call attention to topics, groups and/or locations lacking representation in mainstream media.
Projects should focus on the utilization of Freedom of Information Act requests; feature storytelling and narratives about climate or environmental issues; dispelling myths or countering misinformation, and more.
Three grants of US$8,000 each will be awarded.
The extended deadline is Nov. 7.
