Posted on Jan 20, 2023 in Environmental Reporting

Journalists based in India can apply for this reporting grant.

Earth Journalism Network (EJN) is offering grants to Indian journalists to produce in-depth reporting on India’s progress towards a net zero economy through a just energy transition.

Stories that report on potential solutions and address how vulnerable communities are responding to challenges are highly encouraged. The program is also interested in stories that utilize relevant data to illustrate the issue.

Interested applicants may explore in-depth features on labor and communities on the fringes of high-emitting industries; data projects on energy, finance and markets as well as reports that highlight opportunities for previously disadvantaged groups and local economies.

EJN will provide a grant of up to INR90,000 per report and mentoring from experienced practitioners to selected applicants. Stories can be produced in English or local languages; English translation should be included for stories written in other languages.

Apply by Feb. 20.
