Journalists from selected island countries in the Asia Pacific can apply for story grants.
With support from the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), Internews' Earth Journalism Network (EJN) is offering reporting grants to support the production of in-depth stories on climate, health and environmental issues, and solutions to address them.
Approximately 20 story grants up to US$2,000 each will be offered to selected journalists. Selected grantees will also receive support from experienced mentors through the story production process.
Interested journalists are encouraged to submit story ideas that include island-specific impacts of the climate crisis on land and sea, environmental degradation, biodiversity loss and food/water insecurity associated with economic activity, marine pollution, and other impacts related to these environmental issues.
All applications must be submitted in English.
Apply by May 15.
