Women, non-binary and sexual minority journalists in the Asia-Pacific region can apply for this story grant.
Internews' Earth Journalism Network (EJN), with support from Sida, offers story grants as part of its Asia-Pacific project to support reporting that highlights the gendered impacts of environmental crises in Asia Pacific and the responses. EJN particularly welcomes pitches to report on women- and minority-led initiatives and actions that demonstrate the resilience of these vulnerable groups and their role as environmental stewards.
EJN will offer 20-25 grants of up to $2000 each. Selected journalists will receive support from experienced mentors and EJN’s Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) Advisor.
Stories can be produced in any language. Applicants who intend to write stories in their local language must include an English translation.
EJN accept applications from women journalists (and those who identify as gender and sexual minorities) residing in low- and middle-income countries in Asia Pacific.
The deadline is June 12.
