India-based journalists and content producers interested in raising awareness of renewable energy development can submit proposals for a grant.
Internews' Earth Journalism Network (EJN) is offering fellowships to produce in-depth content on policy, financing, payment and infrastructure hurdles — and on effective strategies and solutions to overcome them. The program aims to support the development, production and publication of reports that raise awareness about the status of the renewable energy sector and strategies to ensure its growth in India.
Selected applicants will each receive approximately INR90,000 to develop their content. Proposals from all states in India are eligible, but proposals that shed light on the renewable energy situation in Bihar, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh will be prioritized.
Applicants who regularly cover the economy, business and energy beats will be given preference, and applications from women, youth and members of Indigenous communities are particularly welcomed by EJN.
Interested content producers can submit their applications in English, Hindi, Marathi and Tamil.
Apply by Feb. 29.
