Journalists, photojournalists and editors working in Latin America can apply for this training in Spanish.
The Gabo Foundation, with the support of Open Society Foundations, is organizing the workshop "Desentrañar la complejidad: periodismo ante la cobertura de la invasión rusa a Ucrania" ("Unraveling Complexity: Journalism in the coverage of the Russian invasion of Ukraine"), led by journalist Catalina Gómez Ángel in Bogota, Colombia, July 1 to 4.
The training is designed to enhance the skills of Latin American journalists in reporting on international armed conflicts, with a particular focus on the Russian invasion of Ukraine. It will explore its implications for global geopolitics, incorporating human narratives, issues of displacement and its broader impacts on the economy, environment and culture.
Selected participants will have their travel and accommodation expenses covered to attend the workshop.
The deadline to apply is April 22.
