Independent media, journalists and bloggers from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan can apply for funding.

The "Small Format. Summer Round" contest is organized by Internews with the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), as part of the MediaCAMP Central Asia Program.

This program offers funding for small projects with innovative ideas that can be implemented by small groups of authors. There are no restrictions on topics, but all projects must be socially oriented.

Projects must be in Kazakh, Uzbek or Russian and can last from one to six months.

Participants from Kazakhstan can apply for up to KZT2,200,000 per project, participants from Uzbekistan, up to US$3,000 per project.

The deadline is April 6.
