Funding available for public interest media [Worldwide]

Media organizations with a strong record of public interest journalism can apply for grants up to US$250,000.

The International Fund for Public Interest Media (IFPIM) is accepting proposals to support independent media organizations investing in audience strategies to better serve the public. IFPIM is a multilateral initiative designed to support independent public interest media especially in low- and middle-income settings.

Grants awarded through this open call are intended to provide funding to enable plans for reaching and engaging new and existing audiences.

Grants will be provided over a period of up to two years.

This global call is open to media organizations operating in each of the International Fund’s 40 focus countries. These include selected countries in Africa and the Middle East, Asia and Pacific, Eastern Europe, and Latin America and the Caribbean. 

The deadline is July 1.
