Journalists anywhere in Brazil can attend this free online course.
The Brazilian Association of Investigative Journalism, in partnership with Meta, is offering the free online course "Independent journalism: How to develop sustainable news projects."
Upon completion of the course, journalists will be able to develop news projects focused on niches and communities.
The course has three modules. The first module will bring together eight news leaders from all over the world to share their insights; the second module will analyze successful digital native news enterprises in Brazil; and the third one will cover the tools for creating news content.
Classes will be held from May to August.
Participants who finish all three modules will be eligible to apply for a US$2,500 grant to develop their journalism project and a five-month mentorship.
Registrations for the first module are open until April 25.
