Journalists can attend an online and in-person summit in Brussels, Belgium.
The Google News Initiative and YouTube, in partnership with the European University Institute and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, are hosting the Fighting Misinformation Online summit.
This event brings together European policy makers, NGOs, media organizations, academics and tech companies to collaborate and share knowledge around tackling misinformation.
Journalists attending the in-person event will have networking opportunities and participate in group discussions on topics such as how to balance the threats of misinformation with the right to free speech; how to quantify the effectiveness of misinformation interventions; and more.
Virtual attendees will be able to access the afternoon broadcast element of the event and ask questions.
The free summit will be held Nov. 29.
