Fellowships fund solutions reporting on health interventions [US]

Midcareer journalists who are committed to seeking out solutions-oriented stories to health can apply for this fellowship.

The Solutions Journalism Network (SJN) is accepting candidates for the fellowship "Solutions reporting on health interventions."

The fellowship is intended for U.S.-based journalists to uncover and report on promising responses from abroad that could help U.S. communities improve their health and well-being. 

Fellows will receive US$17,500 for travel and living expenses abroad for approximately three months of on-the-ground coverage. 

The selected journalists will participate in a two-day meeting in New York or Washington in the spring of 2020, where they willl meet experts in health, connect with the other fellows, hone their story ideas and be trained in solutions journalism.

The deadline is Jan. 19, 2020.
