Fellowships available for reporting trip to Japan [US, Canada, UK]

Professional journalists who have a strong interest in covering Japan can apply for this reporting trip.

The Foreign Press Center Japan (FPCJ), a nonprofit organization that supports foreign journalists in their coverage of Japan, is accepting candidates for its 2019 fellowship program.

Fellows will spend a week between April 2019 and March 2020 in Japan, researching and reporting on topics related to Japanese politics, economics, foreign policy and society.

Candidates must be affiliated with a media organization in the United States, Canada or the United Kingdom and are expected to produce a story for their employer based on the reporting trip.

The fellowship will cover airfare, accommodations, intercity travel, a per diem stipend, interpreters and insurance.
