Investigative journalists from East Africa, including Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Somalia, Sudan and South Sudan, can apply for a fellowship.
DW Akademie is offering a fellowship for investigative journalism in East Africa, with a focus on the theme “Truth Matters: Countering Digital Threats.” The program aims to support the research and reporting project on digital challenges as well as on concrete solution-based approaches.
Journalists will have the opportunity to learn more about current digital threats and foster professional media networks in the East African region with reporters, editors, data experts and scientists pursuing similar thematic projects.
The fellowship will be held from July to November. Each fellow will receive EUR4,000 to produce an investigative story by the end of the program.
The deadline is May 12.
