U.S. based journalists can apply for a four-day expenses-paid fellowship in Montana.

The National Press Foundation (NPF) is accepting applications for the Covering Equitable Community Development Journalism Fellowship. The program will equip journalists to better investigate pervasive racial gaps and the policies and investments in their own backyards related to health, wealth and overall community wellbeing.

Experts from the health equity, nonprofit and policy sectors, financing and community organizing spaces will help journalists add context and breadth to their coverage of community development issues.

The fellowship will take place in Missoula, Montana, Oct. 7 to 10.

NPF will cover airfare, hotel and most meals for participants.

The deadline is Sept. 2.
