Journalists interested in criminal justice issues apply for this program.
The National Press Foundation (NPF) will select 20 journalists to attend the workshop "Reporting on criminal justice" Nov. 10 to 12 in San Francisco, followed by the American Society of Criminology conference Nov. 13 to 16.
Participants will take a deep look at the criminal justice system, learning about incarceration data, pre-trial justice, specialty courts, violence and weapons, implementation of the First Step Act, incarceration impact on families, re-entry into society and more.
NPF will cover travel, lodging and most meals during the training and conference.
The deadline is Sept. 20.
