Journalists based in countries from around the Indian Ocean can apply to attend a science workshop.
The Earth Journalism Network (EJN) is hosting a marine science workshop June 24 to 26 in the Maldives.
The training will cover current marine topics, including marine protected areas, reef and open ocean species, fisheries, climate change and local issues relating to the dynamics between marine conservation and coastal development.
Applicants must be residents of Australia, Comoros, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Madagascar, Maldives, Mauritius, Mozambique, Seychelles, Somalia, South Africa, Sri Lanka or Tanzania.
Participants will receive travel, accommodation and meals.
The deadline is Feb. 28.
