Journalists working at news organizations that are members of the Brazilian Association of Digital Journalism (Ajor) can apply for these grants.
Ajor and the Maria Cecilia Souto Vidigal Foundation are offering reporting grants for story ideas addressing early childhood. The goal is to bring awareness to the topic, especially when local elections will be taking place across Brazil later in 2024.
Six reporting projects will be selected: four text projects will receive BRL12,000 and two video projects will receive BRL25,000.
There will be informative sessions for organizations wanting to apply for the grants.
Application deadline is Feb. 23.
