Filmmakers in Ethiopia, Tanzania and Uganda can apply for funding and a fellowship.
The DW Akademie Film Development Fund, offered by DW Akademie, with support from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), is accepting applications.
The program is designed to take proposed films through the development stage and make them ready for production. Five candidates from each country will receive a one-year fellowship to work on their films.
Successful applicants will also receive EUR10,000, be matched with an experienced mentor and have access to tailor-made training and networking opportunities. They will participate in workshops and skills development trainings led by industry professionals.
The application deadline is Oct. 26.
