Documentary film festival focuses on human rights [Worldwide]

Documentary filmmakers worldwide who focus on human rights can submit their works to this contest.

The Docudays UA International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival, organized by the Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union, will take place March 26 to April 4, 2021 in Kyiv, Ukraine.

Categories include jury award docu/right, docu/world (the international competition of feature- and medium-length documentaries longer than 30 minutes), docu/short (films up to 30 minutes long) and the national category docu/Ukraine. The winners in these categories will receive cash prizes of US$1,000.

There are also the Andrei Matrosov prize, special award from the jury "Rights now!" and the student jury award of US$1,000 each.

Competitive films must have been produced in 2019 and 2020.

The early deadline is Sept. 2; the regular deadline is Nov. 20. The final deadline is Dec. 10.
