Journalists from select economies in Asia Pacific can compete for a cash prize.
The Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI) is organizing the Developing Asia Journalism Awards (DAJA), an initiative to promote works of journalism that accurately report on global efforts advancing sustainable development amid intensifying climate risks.
The awards seek regional journalists to submit stories on one of four topics in connection with regional economies: digital transformation; climate adaptation; and sustainable urban development.
DAJA only accepts text-format articles in English. Only articles that appeared in a regularly published newspaper, magazine, wire service or news site between April 1, 2024 and March 31, 2025 are eligible.
Authors of the selected winning articles will be invited to a virtual awards ceremony and receive a US$2,000 cash prize.
Apply by June 6.
