Indigenous and ethnic minority journalists in Asia Pacific can apply for this grant to produce environmental stories.
Internews' Earth Journalism Network (EJN) is offering reporting grants to journalists from Indigenous and ethnic minority groups to support the production of in-depth stories that highlight climate justice, biodiversity and other issues related to the rights and well-being of Indigenous peoples and communities.
Grants up to US$2,000 each will be awarded to approximately 25 journalists. Selected journalists will also receive support from experienced mentors through the story production process.
Applicants must reside in low- and middle-income countries in Southeast Asia, South Asia, East Asia and the Pacific Islands.
Interested applicants can pitch their story ideas in the form of a written proposal or a short video. English subtitles will be required for video applications.
