Deadline approaching: online workshop on gender and journalism [Latin America]

Journalists and other media professionals can apply for this workshop in Spanish.

The Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas, in partnership with the International Women's Media Foundation, has launched a free online training on gender-sensitive journalism: "Inclusive coverage: gender perspective in the newsroom.

The course will run March 2 to 29. The instructors are Silvia Trujillo, sociologist, and Daniel Villatoro, lead trainer at Exprésate.

Participants will develop an action plan to identify areas for improvement and propose initiatives to integrate gender perspectives in their own newsrooms.

The deadline is March 9.
