Cross-border fellowship on media trust [India, Germany]

Posted on Mar 28, 2025 in Collaborative Journalism

Journalists from India and Germany can apply for this hybrid media fellowship.

Asian Dispatch, in partnership with Germany’s Goethe-Institut e.V., is launching a cross-border journalism fellowship to foster dialogue between emerging journalists from India and Germany on trust in the media.

Through networking, workshops and collaborative knowledge-sharing, the fellowship will explore challenges such as declining trust in traditional media, AI-driven content creation and the rise of misinformation.

Twelve selected journalists from India and Germany will engage in online kick-off workshops and virtual discussions between May and July.

In October and November, fellows participate in a 10-day in-person residency in New Delhi, where they will work together to create a Knowledge Sharing Handbook—a practical guide to rethinking journalism’s role in an evolving global media landscape. As part of this exchange, each fellow will also travel to various cities across India.

Interested journalists must be between 20 and 38 years old with at least two years of experience.

Apply by April 6.
