Journalists in the United States can participate in a free online seminar on gun violence.
Poynter, with support from the Joyce Foundation, is hosting the online seminar “How to Cover Gun Violence and the Gun Debate in America.” The seminar will help journalists at any stage in their career develop story ideas to better cover gun violence and the gun debate in their communities.
The seminar will focus on the latest proposals in Washington, D.C., measuring the effectiveness of “red flag” laws, and tips from researchers studying gun issues as well as local and national reporters covering the gun beat.
The seminar will take place June 13 to 14.
Registration is ongoing.
