Course covers safety for journalists during pandemic [Worldwide]

Journalists reporting on the COVID-19 pandemic can access this online course.

The Thomson Foundation, in collaboration with the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) and the Dart Centre Europe, has launched the course "Reporting on COVID-19: Safety." 

The course is divided into seven sections, drawing on coverage of previous epidemics and pandemics and including examples of best practices for covering COVID-19.

Participants will learn the processes and checks required to plan for coverage of COVID-19 for field reporters and news-desk based staff; measures to take to minimize risk from infection, or infecting others; practical steps to take when using equipment to record audio and video during, and more.

The course is self paced and can be take at any time.
