Journalists interested in investigating deforestation can register for this free online course.
Escola de Dados, with support from the Earth Journalism Network, is organizing the course "Environmental data journalism: on the trail of deforestation in the Amazon" May 5 to 31.
The course will present resources, tools and concepts of environmental data journalism, with a focus on deforestation reporting in the Amazon.
Two participants will be chosen to receive a BRL8,000 grant each to produce a story based on environmental data.
The deadline is April 10.
