News organizations targeting audiences ages 25 and younger can compete for an award.
The Global Youth and News Media Prize, supported by the European Journalism Centre, the Google News Initiative, News-Decoder and others, celebrates work that serves, supports, attracts and/or learns from young audiences.
The competition is accepting entries for the Journalism Award and the News/Media Literacy Award.
Submissions for the Journalism Award must be stories, especially solutions reporting, that breaks stereotypes or adds important insights about or from young people.
Submissions for the News/Media Literacy Award must be initiatives that educate about journalism and news media in ways that help young audiences navigate all kinds of content as they develop news habits and knowledge key to developing active citizenship.
Entries must be in English or include English translations or subtitles.
The deadline is June 25.
