Professional journalists can compete for this new award.
Instituto Brasil África (IBRAF) has launched the IBRAF Journalism Award to promote high-quality reporting on themes related to Africa.
Works must have been originally published in Portuguese between Jan. 1, 2019 and Oct. 2, 2020.
The award will be offered in four categories: print journalism, TV, radio and the web. First-place winners in each category will receive BRL5,000.
The deadline has been extended to Oct.2.
