Contest recognizes criminal justice reporting [US]

Print and online journalists who covered criminal justice can apply for this award.

The Center on Media, Crime and Justice at John Jay College organizes the John Jay/Harry Frank Guggenheim Prizes for Excellence in Criminal Justice Reporting.

The award has two categories ―single story and best series ― honoring enterprise, analytical and investigative reporting that has had a demonstrated impact on public understanding or public policy in any area related to criminal justice.

Works must have been published between Nov. 1, 2019 and Oct. 31, 2020.

Winners receive US$1,500.

The deadline is Nov. 9. There is a US$90 entry fee.
