Journalists covering the COVID-19 pandemic can enter this new contest.
The American Society of Journalists and Authors has launched the COVID-19 Writing Awards.
The contest has nine categories: business and economy, education, health care, mental health, personal essays, politics and government, science, social adaptation, and technology.
Works must have been published between Jan. 1 and June 30, 2020 in English anywhere in the world. The entry fee is US$15 for ASJA members and US$25 for non-members. Members of other nonprofit organizations pay US$20.
Winners will receive cash prizes.
The deadline is July 3.
