Journalists and news organizations that have demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to ethical decision-making and conduct can apply.
The University of Oregon School of Journalism and Communication (SOJC) is accepting nominations for the Ancil Payne Award for Ethics in Journalism for work published in 2020.
The prize honors courageous reporting and difficult ethical decisions that make a difference in the community but are often invisible to readers, listeners or viewers.
Journalists and outlets can nominate themselves or be nominated by a third party. The winner will receive US$10,000.
The deadline is Feb. 15.
