Media organizations based in Cote d’Ivoire and Senegal can apply for a seven-month fellowship.

Code for Africa (CfA), in partnership with the African Fact-Checking Alliance (AFCA), is offering a fact-checking fellowship. This initiative seeks to help news organizations establish their CheckDesks and grow the local fact-checking ecosystem, as a way to deepen their monitoring/debunking activities.

The incubation program seeks to build a diversified ecosystem of local fact-checking champions to aid in the fight against misinformation and disinformation. The program consists of financial, publishing and technical support, organization building and support for growth.

News organizations selected for this remote fellowship will receive support grants to establish fact-checking desks or products.

The deadline is March 4.
