Early-career journalists in Asia interested in climate reporting can apply for this hybrid fellowship to cover COP28.

Climate Tracker Asia is launching a fully-funded fellowship for climate journalists to cover critical issues for their country and region throughout COP28, in-person or virtually, from Nov. 30 to Dec. 12.

Four fellows will be selected in total. Two fellows will attend the COP28 conference and report on-site from Dubai, while the other two will cover the conference real-time remotely from their location.

Selected fellows will receive exclusive training and individual mentorship from seasoned journalists, experts, and support from past fellows and their experience. They will also have the opportunity to connect and collaborate with journalists, researchers, policy influencers and activists worldwide.

Interested applicants must publish a compelling story on the health impacts of fossil fuels that can shine a unique perspective on the health consequences of climate change in Asia. Applicants can develop all kinds of multimedia stories to be published in regional or national media publications of their choice.

Apply by Aug. 4.
