African and Chinese journalists, academics, writers, activists or researchers specializing in mining, environmental and human rights issues can submit stories.
The China-Global South Project (CGSP) is seeking contributions in the form of analyses, reports and impact stories that explore how mining activities are affecting local communities—both positively and negatively.
CGSP is building an interactive map that follows China’s presence in the critical minerals in Africa. For this project, CGPS has covered five countries: the Democratic Republic of Congo, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Guinea. The goal is to present an up-to-date picture of these developments while offering a broader, fact-based and objective perspective.
Submitted reports and articles should be between 1,000 and 1,500 words, written in French or English.
Articles will be published between July and September.
CGSP will pay US$550 for published contributions.
