Journalists from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia are invited to apply for a reporting program that reveals the scale of gender-based violence in the Balkans.
The Balkan Investigative Reporting Network (BIRN) partnered with ATINA to offer a specialized eight-month reporting program to help journalists understand the complexity of gender-based violence and exploitation and empower them to engage in covering gender-related issues.
The program includes on-the-job mentoring and editorial sessions to produce high-quality journalism, educational sessions focused on gender-based violence and financial support and assistance.
To apply, journalists must submit an investigative story proposal on gender-based violence in the Balkan region.
Selected candidates will receive EUR1,000 to support their stories.
The deadline is Aug. 21.
