Women working in media and living in Kenya are eligible for this fund.
The Thomson Foundation is launching The Bettina Fund – Empowering women in media. The fund wants to foster change and empower women in media, by providing mentorship and guidance, but also creating connections and a network that will expand to include other countries in Africa and other regions of the world.
Each participant must have two to three years’ experience working in media. They will receive an individual mentor, attend online workshops, webinars and mentoring meetings.
Applications from women working in small or start-up organizations in the digital media sector and media entrepreneurs are welcome.
The three-month program starts in September 2021.
The application deadline is August 1.
