Lebanese news organizations affected by the Beirut blast can apply to receive support from this fund.

In partnership with the Facebook Journalism Project, the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ) is accepting applications for the second phase of the Supporting Beirut program, which aims to support journalists and news organizations damaged as a direct result of the Aug. 4, 2020 Beirut explosion or the economic/financial situation in Lebanon.

In its second phase, the program will provide training on media sustainability and audience engagement tracks for journalists and newsrooms, three months of one-on-one mentorship, as well as emergency funds of up to US$10,000 for media organizations in Lebanon.

News organizations must be based in Lebanon, have been in operation for at least two years, employ at least five journalists, and have an online presence and a demonstrated journalistic record.

The application deadline is Nov. 10.
