Professional U.S.-based journalists with at least four years of experience can apply for this hybrid training program.

The Asian American Journalists Association (AAJA) is accepting applications for its Executive Leadership Program (ELP) for professional journalists interested in advancing their careers and developing the skills to achieve their professional and personal goals. The 2024 ELP sessions will be held both in-person and virtually between Mar. 20 and Aug. 7, 2024.

The program aims to develop the next diverse generation of journalism leaders who can lead in uncertain times and build a sustainable future for journalism. It explores the responsibilities and challenges of a media workplace, how to lead in the changing landscape and how cultural values come into play.

Tuition for ELP is US$1,500 for AAJA members and US$2,000 for non-members. It includes the costs of training materials, meals during in-person sessions and basic registration for the 2024 AAJA National Convention in Austin, Texas August 7-11, 2024

Those in need of financial assistance may reach out to their employers or local AAJA chapter leadership (AAJA members only).

Apply by Jan. 20, 2024.
