Editors from the five selected Southeast Asian countries can apply to participate in this networking opportunity in Bangkok.

In partnership with the Temasek Foundation, the Asian American Journalists Association’s Asia chapter (AAJA-Asia) has launched The Temasek Foundation–AAJA Asia Southeast Asia Editors Network, with the aim to foster collaboration and dialogue among senior editors across Southeast Asia. The network seeks to promote cross-border cooperation, share best practices and strengthen the media landscape in Southeast Asia.

The network will convene during AAJA-Asia’s New.Now.Next Media Conference (N3Con), scheduled for May 29–31, in Bangkok, Thailand. Twenty selected senior editors from five Southeast Asia countries will gather during the conference.

Participants will explore cooperation avenues through roundtables, workshops and conference sessions and will have the opportunity to pitch collaborative cross-border stories in front of a jury composed of senior news professionals.

The program will cover the cost for selected editors to travel to and stay in Bangkok and a ticket (worth US$260 per person) each to attend all sessions of the N3Con. A grant of up to US$15,000 (SGD$21,000) will be allocated to the winning project.

Applications are open to senior editors working in Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand.

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until April 24.
