Professional and citizen journalists can compete for an award.
The Thomson Reuters Foundation and the Barilla Center for Food & Nutrition organize the Food Sustainability Media Award to encourage journalists to report on food sustainability and today’s food paradoxes.
Possible topics include hunger and obesity, food and fuel, and waste and starvation.
There are two categories available: written journalism (print and online) and multimedia. Published and unpublished work can be submitted but will be judged separately. Entries must be submitted in English or include a translation in English.
The winners for published works categories will each receive EUR10,000. The winners for unpublished works will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to attend a Thomson Reuters Foundation media training course on food sustainability.
The deadline is May 31.
