The Jabuti Award, organized by Câmara Brasileira do Livro is offered in nonfiction and literature categories.
The contest is accepting essays, nonfiction stories, literary journalism, biographies and more. Works must have been published in Portuguese between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2020 in Brazil.
Winners will receive cash prizes and the Jabuti trophy. The winner of book of the year will be awarded BRL100,000.
The deadline is July 1.
